With Rolf Blind, the ESSER Group has appointed an experienced sales and marketing manager from the printing and publishing industry to the management board with the aim of dovetailing the sales and marketing of the individual companies in the ESSER Group even more closely.
"The expansion of the management team in the area of sales and marketing is a logical step for the continued positive development of our fourth-generation family business," explains Markus Esser. "This will give the division the necessary attention it needs to support our three locations and differentiated product policy, consisting of industrial book and media customers, in a contemporary, centralised and process-optimised manner," continues Esser.
Rolf Blind was most recently responsible for the strategic and operational development and expansion of the print on demand activities of the book wholesaler KNV (now Zeitfracht) in Stuttgart and Erfurt. Prior to this, he worked for many years in the printing industry since 1998 in various management positions, including as an authorised signatory and managing director. As a lecturer in marketing and sales at various universities in Germany, he helps young managers to place customer orientation at the centre of their activities.
"Different customer groups and different locations not only require customised technology, equipment and order management within a printing company, but also overarching, clear and coordinated processes in sales and marketing. I am very much looking forward to taking on this task within the ESSER Group at this exciting time," says Rolf Blind.
With around 170 employees at three locations, the ESSER Group claims to be one of the leading digital printing companies in Europe. The company, managed by Diana and Markus Esser, has been "sustainable and value-orientated with a keen eye for new markets" for years.
