An integral part of the annual event is the presentation of the GC Management Award, which this year was presented by Peter and Dr Wolfgang Jeschke to Diana Esser from Esser Printsolutions GmbH. She was honoured for having "significantly influenced the success of her company through strategic game-changing", according to a GC Graphic Consult press release. An important milestone was Esser's takeover of the insolvent Bosch Druck Solutions GmbH in Ergolding in 2020.

The event opened with a presentation by Dr Wolfgang Jeschke, who spoke about "the" game changer. Who he is, where he comes from and whether this "game-changing" is a curse or a blessing.

Success stories were presented by Ralf Lokay, owner of Druckerei Lokay e. K., who explained how he became a "game changer" through a personal experience and how he organised his company for the long term. Or from Ingo Raab, Head of Sales and Business Development at Burda Druck GmbH, who explained "how print finds its readers".

Further contributions came from Klaus Vollmer, Managing Director of Dataform Dialogservices GmbH, and Michael Apel, CFO of the Model Group. Stefan Eishold, CEO of Arcus Capital AG, explained when it makes sense to think about consolidation, how to make it successful and which steps are important. Ralf Büttner, Managing Director of the Sattler Media Group, reported on the implementation of efficiency improvements in his company. Dr Franz-Josef Vollherbst and his son Stefan spoke with Peter Jeschke about "successful company management" and handing over a company to the next generation.
